  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ cup yogurt (optional, for richness)
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil or ghee
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Spices:

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Sauté the Onions & Spices

  • Heat oil or ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute until aromatic.

2. Cook the Qeema

  • Add minced meat and cook on medium heat until it changes color.
  • Stir in the red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they break down and blend with the meat.
  • If using yogurt, add it now and cook for another 5-7 minutes.

3. Simmer & Finish the Dish

  • Cover the pan and let the Qeema cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add garam masala, chopped green chilies, and a splash of lemon juice.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
